Social Media FAQs
Most frequent questions and answers
You should be on the social media platforms where your audience is. Social strategy is different for every business, and you will often need to adapt your content for different audiences.
There is no one size fits all for how frequently to post. A general rule of thumb is that the more extensive your social media following, the more regularly you should post. We recommend aiming for two posts per week to start with and increase or decrease this based on how much interaction you get.
Most platforms don’t like when you post the same content repeatedly on the same feed. Facebook, for example, will tend to reduce the reach of your posts if you do this.
You need to think about how your target audiences are using the different platforms. Generally, it is best to tailor the content based on this; however, if you are short on time, posting the same content on different platforms isn’t the end of the world.
Produce good content frequently and consistently. Follower growth isn’t something that happens overnight (unless you strike gold and go viral).
Most platforms have options that allow comments to be removed from posts without notifying the poster. However, taking time to engage with your negative comments and rectify the issues is usually best.
